I recently bought a Catalina 22. Can't figure out how to get Pop Top to work. When I open it (push it up) it won't stay in position as it hits the mast and therefore won't hold in the open position. Am I missing something obvious?

Pop top lock
Hello, You need to buy a Pop Top mast lock from Catalina Direct. Item number D1219, it goes for about $26.70. It slips into your mast, and when your Pop top is open, you simply rest your pop top into it, and then turn the knob on the lock itself and that will secure the top to the mast. Also a great thing would be the pop top lift kit, which would make your pop top open a whole lot easier. Have fun, Jay PS, If you bought your C-22 used, check out the picture of the lock itself, and then look in evey box, bag, drawer, ect., that came with the boat, maybe you have seen it, but didn't know what it was! Thats what happened to me!
