Catalina 22 bilge care

Just bought a 1978 Catalina 22 that I can't figure out how to drain the bilge. There are 2 cockpit drains and the sink drain the go to a drain that feeds into the swing keel pocket. I can't find any other opening, does anyone know of one.

On my 1974 C-22 there is no drain for the bilge. I have had no need for one since I do not get water in the bilge. The bilge should be dry after sailing. If your bilge is wet after sailing you may need to find the leak.

Most larger boats do not have bilge drains. Use a bilge pump for large amounts (which you should not have on a Catalina 22). Use a scoop and sponge for small amounts.

The Bilge is usually below the water line. You would not want a "drain" there.:yikes:

A small bilge pump is easy to instal but you will still need a sponge to get the last little bit out.

Are you getting water after a rain or after sailing?
