Does anyone have a solution (sic) for getting cat pee out of sails? Washed it 3 times laid it in the sun & to still no avail. This is a laminate-kevlar-mylar type sail and we need to get it out! Please, if this has happend to you, let me know! Lisa
Only one thing I know of that WILL work: PureAyre.
PureAyre My dad was in a nursing home for the last 3 years of his life...I did his laundry and had to deal with some amazing "accidents." PureAyre
PureAyre was the only thing that eliminated the odor entirely. I did have to do bit of experimenting to learn how to use it...I finally found that soaking the offending garment in a pint of PureAyre in a bucket of COLD water overnight, then washing with the rest of the load worked. If I had several pieces, I put a quart in cold water in the washer overnight and washed it with the rest of the load the next day.
I know it also eliminates cat urine odor, 'cuz I have a couple of rescue cats, one of which is a 15 lb tub of lard whose butt occasionally overhangs the outside of the litter box which sits on a large mat in the laundry room. It all goes outside to be hosed off, then the mat sprayed with PureAyre.
You'll prob'ly have to order from their website...it's expensive, but a lot cheaper than replacing clothes or sails. Get the household version.
