Cat 30 Purchase question??

I have an opportunity to purchase a 91 Cat 30, std rig, 23hp Universal w/350 orig hours. Boat is a friend of mine's, bought my 27 from him. It has been lightly used, only negative is that it has been in salt water and in FL sun all it's life. Has Loran, Auto pilot, Dodger, Bimini. He will sell it to me for $36K. Does that sound like a good deal to you also? I just hate to part with the simplicity of my 27, but the inboard and hot water are calling.

It's a Good Deal

I have a '91. Great boat. You should be aware that Seaward (the people who fabricate the engine harness and circuit breaker panel) recommend a rewiring upgrade. It reduces the possibility of starting failures and improves battery charging from the alternator. It's reasonable (about $20) and not hard to do yourself. Good luck with your decision.
