I have posted pictures of the Casual Observer, My Albin Vega 27. I
purchased this boat on 21 March. I am having boatstands delivered
today. I will be taking her out of the water this week or next to
paint the bottom and clean the inside and out. I am having a survey
done on 26 April. I will let you know how I progress. I have waited
all my life for a boat like this.

I had the Casual Observer pulled from the water last Friday and put
on boatstands so I could work on her. Also I'm having it surveyed
this Friday the 26th.

The bottom was in very poor condition, it had not been painted or
cleaned for several years. I was able to use a gasoline powered
power washer and it cleaned up nicly after about two hours worth of
work. We got the boat parked on jackstands and I took some pictures.

The next day, Saturday I went back and started to remove all of the
equipment and stuff from the inside. It filled up the back of my
Astro van. This boat came with 4 sails. The Main. Jib, Genoa, and a
Spinnaker.

I rolled out all 4 sails on my lawn and was very happy to see the
results. These were not the original sails and had been replaced
several years ago 4 or 5. Anyway they were in excellant shape.

I'm going to replace all of the Safety/Survival stuff.

The inside cussions, curtains, need a lot of work. Next time I go
back I will just remove all and start from scratch. This boat is on
the Naval Air Station at Patuxent River MD if anyone was interested
in seeing her.
