I'm looking for advice. I have purchased this 84' h31 and the keel is bare cast iron. The seller had removed all the fairing material and painted it with an epoxy paint. They said that they grind it down to the shinny, and everything seems to be good. Plus I applied 5 coats of Interprotect to everything from the water line down including the keel.
But, on the bottom of the keel where none has gotten to is my concern. What's my best treatment? I'm thinking that I will knock off the rust than lay up a couple of layers with epoxy and glass just on the bottom of the keel, than prime and bottom paint. Am I on the right track?
