Does anyone have experience with the Cruisair 7000 carry on A/C unit? I am considering one for my H27

H26 5000 BTU

I don't personally know about the 7000 BTU unit but the so called 5000 BTU unit kept our 1996 H26 very cool at night. Didn't do a whole lot during the heat of the day though. I would think the 7000 BTU unit is plenty for your boat. Do get the deflector option. It helps direct the air toward the aft end of the cabin. I also installed snaps on the hood and deck to make it rain proof. Jeff

Another option...

Hi Dawson, I've had the same 6000 BTU home window A/C unit I bought at Home Depot for 4 years now ($125). We have a '79 Hunter 30. I keep it under the salon table under sail. When we get to a marina, I put it in the hatch and put my little canvas hood over the output. Not nearly as sexy as the Cuiseair, but I figure I can buy about 10 of them for the same price.
