My 260 has been a real pain to keep clean. Has anyone put carpet in the cockpit floor and if so how did it work out for you? I was hoping to do this in an effort to keep that damn thing clean without having tohose it down all the time.
lots easier to hose off fiberglass than carpet. I would think that carpet would collect alot of dirt and debree and then you need to have a vaccume around. I would never do it. My 2 cents worth.
I used carpeting rated for outdoor use in my 28.5 ..had it cut to correct shape and paid to have edging added. Did not glue in place. Treated it similar to the mats in my car. Used it for 4 seasons and it was fine.
I was hoping the carpet would collect the dirt and debrie so that rest of the boat doent get as dirty as it is now. I would rather hose off a carpet every few days then clean the whole boat. Thanks Brad
