I need to replace the carpet used as trim on the sides of the cabins in my O'Day 37. The glue has given out and the carpet is well past its best buy date. I saw an article by Olivier who replaced it with wood strips but it adds a lot of weight and is not really suitable for the main cabin or the aft cabin as it would prevent access to the hull/deck joint bolts. I would be interested in any other suggestions. One material I am looking at is a foam backed vinyl, which is flexible and light in weight and colour. David Marrison Toronto.
