two ideas...

1 Go to any carpet and place check the box of remnants they'll have in the warehouse. Very good prices. 2 I have two dark blue rugs on my cabin sole which I found a Target in the kitchen dept. They have a rubber backing that keeps them from slipping, I can lift them up easily for cleaning or checking the bilge. A simlar bathmat size works in the head.

As Joe said...

go to a carpet store. Don't forget the underpadding. Its cheap and it makes it very nice to walk on. Carpet will unravel where you cut it so you can have the edging (binding) done by the carpet store for about $1 per foot (thats up here in Canadian dollars, eh) I didn't bother doing the edging on mine and it looks a little sketchy. I might go back to the store and have it done. PS Shag carpet is out of style, so go for a burber (sp?) Also, it doesn't show the dirt as well and its easy to clean. Happy sailing!

Carpet

Go to Lowes/Home Depot...they carry indoor/outdoor carpet that will hold up much better in a marine environment than regular carpet. Not the plastic stuff, the carpet...probably meant for patios. If you have blue winch covers and sail covers, it will be a close match.

Try the factory

The Catalina factory told me they will make you one for about $200. Take out the old carpet and make a template onto paper or fabric. They will do the rest.
