Caravelle - Helm

Hello All,

On Wind Song I am looking at putting an original helm on, it is currently a small wooden spoke one. Can someone provide me with dims for the original 6 spoke helm, as I plan to have one fabricated this winter?

I will send you photos and measurements on Monday. On Bounding Home, it appears that a stainless wheel was nicely affixed to the original spoked wheel

The helm on Bounding Home measures 29" across. There is just enough room to get my knees through between the lazarette and the wheel. Please excuse the photo, the coach top and lazarette tops actually match in color.

We should meet in Newport to compare notes

Yes up to meet, would really like to visit Bounding Home some day and see what you have done over the years. I will be up at the end of August, may sail down to Newport.
