I'm trying to locate a source for a replacement captain's seat for my cockpit

My boat is a 1996 Hunter 40.5 Legend.

I have already contacted Hunter with no success.

Also looking for a good source for ready made dodger frames and dodger fabric.

Can't help with the seat but sailrite.com has dodger frames. I had a oddball full bimini so I did not check for a kit for the material but I know they have several.

Can you describe the captain's seat for me? Is it a raised cushion of closed cell foam? SC

I think what he's describing is a lift-out fiberglass helm seat.

Phil,How come Hunter 23.5 isn't listed in Hunter replacement parts.

If it's not listed it means we don't have any data for it from Hunter. That means we'll have to build it slowly from owner input and investigation.

You are probably going to have to build one yourself. This would be a great beginner fiberglass project.
make a mock-up in styrofoam, make a negative in fiberglass, layup the actual seat. The hard part will be getting the non-slip surface into the styrofoam mock-up.
