My 1980 Capri 25 took a hit in the top deck (hurricane Ivan. The hole is in a place that is covered with non-skid. Does anybody know if the non-skid is some standard fiberglass cloth (looks like woven roven), or is it a custom pattern. Ideas on finishing the hole with the correct pattern of non-skid is appreciated.

non-skid is in the gelcoat

Non-skid is in the gelcoat not the fiberglass pattern. This is very hard to duplicate unless you have the exact pattern. In the repairs I have made I generally try to get it as close as I can, but luckily I have a non-skid spraying gun at my disposal now! But a pattern like that will be hard to duplicate.

Make a mold

There are vendors who sell non-skid pattern that can be used. The other thing I have heard is people using silicon to make an impression of their non-skid and then using that to press on to the new surface to create the same pattern. Probably difficult to get perfect but maybe close enough.
