Capri 22 -Mast raising system, Bottom Painting

I am intereste in kmowing if anyone makes a mast raining system for a Capri 22- if not has anyone fabricated one on their own? Also - I have a winged keel and have to bottom paint. Has anyone devised a way to lift the boat partially off the bunk to paint under them? Thanks in advance for your help.

I can't help with your question, I just wanted to say hello. I was surprised to see a Rockford, Il sailer. The 22 is a great boat, where do you sail her? We had a Capri 18 with a wing a few years back and sailed primarily in Madison.

raising the mast and boat

Paul; for my C-22, I built a mast-raising apparatus out of square tube and a pulley that used the trailer winch. The tube was long enough when stood on it's end that the winch cable could lead down to it. It worked quite well. As for raising the boat, use a floor jack. Set it in the trailer, put a 4x4 on the pad and jack the boat up one side at a time. Place blocks on the bunks and let the boat down. When it's time to move the blocks to paint, jack the boat up a little, move the blocks, (put a piece of wax paper between the block and the boat bottom) and let it down again.
