Capri 22 in Texas?

It's coming up on sailing season (finally).

I have a shoal keel, and hope to compare it to the wing this spring/ summer on Jepomer's WK STD rig. The one benefit of the shoal is the 24" draft. The wing is 32" and on my lake, that 6" allows me access to areas I couldn't reach with the deeper keel. Last fall on 15+ kt day, my shoal keel performed well enough to catch up and overtake a Catalina 22 upwind on my narrow lake. That's probably not too impressive, but as a second year sailor I felt like I won The America's Cup. He may not of realized we were racing though....

I talked to this guy a couple of months ago.
$10,750 for a 1989 boat?
Because...
He has spent a small fortune on it and want's his money back.
Home made mods for a "stainless steel" trailer?
The sails look good, and the boat is for sure clean.

Anyway, NADA says average retail for that package would be $5570.

He's down to $8750 mow on Sailing Texas.

Maybe I ought to call him again and offer $6000 (again)?

1988 model C22

I may have found one!
This is a really early boat - sail #305, in fact.
It seems to be in pretty good shape.
It's a wing keel. As low as our lake is that's maybe a good thing!

There are some interesting details though and I wanted to ask if anybody has a similar boat?

The main sheet goes - where? Cockpit floor? It doesn't look like it has a traveler.
But it also doesn't look like end of boom to the transom either.
Did they have Barney posts at first?

100% working jib sheet directly to the cabin top winches?

What to look at in regards to rigging - wire-end fittings?

Anything to pay particular attention to?
