Could anybody tells me where or how, I could find articles related to the Capri 18? I recently bought a 1986 Capri 18, I sail as often as I can on Lake Mead here in Vegas, and I truly enjoy it. I also would like to read about the crossing between California and Hawaii made on the Capri 18. Thank you for your assistance and "Happy Sailing"! Bernard

The young man described by Barry Bowles, who sailed a cat 18 to Hawaii also sailed a Sea Pearl 23 from Florida North and I think went on to the Great Lakes and back. If you contact the builder in Fla, I am sure he would know.

1. The voyage of the Capri 18 from the mainland to Hawaii was mentioned in Larry Brown's book about trailer sailers, which was published _years_ ago (10 or more). He said the sail was uneventful, with the sailor spending most of his time reading and drinking beer, if I recall correctly. 2. If you want to contact the builder, that would be Catalina Yachts in Southern California, not in Florida. (Easy way to remember: Catalina [the island] is in California, not in Florida...
