A purchased a 1988 Capri 18 at the end of last season. It apparently came standard with a 66 sq. ft. working jib. I just purchased a 88 sq. ft. 135% genoa from Ullman Sails. The boat currently has stand up blocks mounted on tracks on top of the cabin to handle the jib sheets, which then go to winches and cam cleats. I know I will need to add another set of blocks further aft on the side decks to handle the genoa sheets. I'm interested in feedback from any Capri 18 owners who have already done this, and would like to know what hardware you added and where you added it. Also, did you add a second set of winches, or are winches unnecessary on this boat? Lastly, what is the length of your genoa sheet? I'm guessing that my 24 ft. jib sheet is going to be too short.
