Steve

I have a Garmin GPS 48 connected to my Compaq Presario 1245 laptop. I am using the Capn Voyager 5.2.0 for navigation and it is working great. I would now like to connect the computer to my Autohelm 3000. I presume I can establish my route on the Capn program and it will keep the boat on course. If you have any information regarding what I am trying to do I would appreciate it. Thank-You Steve

i have capn voyager on my 1999 450 hunter and it is tied into my autopilot and i even went and bought a flat screen for 650.00 to put up topside with acordless mouse and keyboard. i couldnt see my laptop topside. i can not tell you how to install it but i do know it is only a three wire &plug that goes into the rear of the computer and nmea1833 or some thing has to be set in your computer. the capn was very helpful over the phone they helped me. it is much easier to plan a route and follow it. i am 70 and live aboard and dont know what i enjoy, sailing or planning and computing mcbubba720@aol.com

Wes, try "thecapn.com"...

I got my copy from them direct, nice people. You can also get it from a lot of other resellers. It's a pretty easy installation but be aware that each chart takes up quite a bit of space if you put them on the hard drive. I loaded my old laptop up with the Southern Cal. charts and almost ran out of room. Definately a nice tool though...

Or try the chandlery on this site!

Check the Chandlery on this site... you can buy the Capn Software ($449 + free chart CD) and lots of other cool nav stuff...click on the Navigation & Electronics tab once you're in the chandlery. Trevor
