My sail cover is looking pretty grungy. After sewing up last year's tears, I got to wondering how to clean it; can I put it in the washing machine? If so, should I be using a particular cycle/detergent?
Do go to the sunbrella web site. But I think the short answer is, yes, you can, but you will need to re-treat the fabric with 303 to make it water repellant again.
I've used a presure washer on low setting, cause it'll blast your fabric apart. I don't even have to remove it from the dodger frame. I always recoat with 303, as indicated in prior reply. The key is to use the washer on the low setting. It works great on the decks also.
