Can you comfortably weekend on 22mkII

I am considering purchasing a 22mkII. One of my primary uses will be weekend overnighting on this boat. I would like to know how wide the port and starboard berths are, and if a large man can comfortably sleep on one?Thanks in advance-John

Weekends aboard C-22

John; Years ago I had a C-22 and loved it. I and several friends belonged to a club which shared info and ideas. One of the best was how to turn the cabin into one huge bunk. I'm not sure about the MkII, but my '76 vintage had a dinette to port and a small settee to starboard. Many of us cut a piece of plywood to bridge the space between, with blocks to hold it in place, turning the whole area into a great bunk. My wife and I slept athwartships, which worked out great. When not in use, store the board on deck. A pop-top with an enclosure was also a great addition since it gave you standing headreoom.

i find that at 6 ft and 200lbs the only acceptable place for me to sleep is with the table down on the port side.'89 model. if i was any bigger i'd be getting uncomfortable but then again a larger boat doesnt give larger/longer berths just more which in my opinion are too short. even on my friend,s hunter 31 i cant stretch out on my stomach on any of the berths. whats so hard about going to 7 feet long to accomodate a pillow and your feet? this is my biggest complaint of all the 'modern' boats. dont move up thinking it will get any better.
