We are new about furler systems. Can the original jib sail, that came with the 84 Hunter 24', be used with the roller furler system by Schaefer?

A couple of things; are you sure it is a 24'? There were 22's and 25.5's made in 84 but not 24's. (Are you in the US?)
With that said, it depends on whether you have a furler now. If not, the sails hank on and will have to be converted. The Schaefer takes a #5 tape. If you do have a furler now and the tape (the part that feeds into foil) is a #5, then it should fit in the Schaefer. Otherwise, it would have to be converted to a #5 tape.
