Looking for a good slip, good harbor, and good community along the MS gulf coast for a 32 foot boat with a 6 foot draft. Done some online research but would love input from folks that aren't trying to sell me something. <grin>

Shaggy’s looks like a fun place where I could put on 10 pounds while smiling about the tasty treats they served.

Is Long Beach back in operation yet?

6' draft might be a problem get into the marina.

Pascagoula I remember being nice but the city is very industrial and it is a long way out to open water.

Ocean Springs a lot of fun not sure about the availability of slips.

I second Gulfport Harbor. Very well protected, docks in good shape, and reasonably priced. You have to walk a few blocks, but there are some pretty nice restaurants around there. Also. the barrier islands are more convenient to get to from Gulfport. The last time we went by Pass Christian Harbor/Shaggy's, it was looking kind of dilapidated.

Be prepared, most Gulf Coast marinas have a policy of clearing out the harbor when a hurricane is forecast to hit, and you don't get a whole lot of lead time.
