Stuck a camera in rear of 1981 H-30 to get pic's for another post about the drain hoses. The black hose is the fuel filler, the other 2 are drain hoses, but what is in the middle below everything else !!!!

I didn't see it until I downloaded the pic's. I don't know how a real one could survive on a boat. Only food onboard is Mt. Gay.

Looks like flat vinyl covered cable usually used for grounding the boat. My hunter had very similar cable used for this purpose. Looks like the cable is attached to the port side bolt holding the rudder skeg.

Slithering update

Went out today, slowly reached through the hole I cut in the deck, and grabbed it before it could bite me!!

I am figuring that maybe someone once bought it to scare the birds off the boat, and it eventually ended up in the bottom. Left it on deck coming out about a foot from the traveler. See if anyone see's it.
