this part turned up in the Engine bilge compartment when I did my pre departure check on my beneteau 361 today. It looks like some sort of clamp that broke off, but can't figure out where it was. It is stamped with the name perko. I checked their site but they make lots of stuff and nothing jumped out at me. Is this just trash or is something critical broken?
Is that a part number (or perhaps a word) on the right-hand piece, running parallel to the grooves? That might help in a search. If no one is able to help you, you could email the pic to Perko on Monday, to see if they can help.
You guys are awesome. Maybe off the stairs latch? Doesn't loom critical. I was afraid that this was something holding the engine together. Much appreciated everyone.
+1 to Skipper. I have one on my engine cover, but added a second one on the other side. Those pot metal pieces and break if you have them too tightly adjusted. It would be nice to have the piece machined from real metal.
