Finally got my Campbell sailor prop for my 28. Should be pulling the boat in May to repaint the bottom and replace the prop and cutlass bearing. I'll report my findings when it's done.

I had this prop installed yesterday. Its the best money I've ever spent. I have an O'day 28 and it was repowered with a Yanmar 2GM20f. The original 12" prop was left in place when the motor was changed as best I can tell. Vibration with the 3 bladed prop is effectively NIL. Static RPM is around 3400 and the amount of water I was pushing behind this thing was crazy. I likely could have gone with their original 14x7 vs the 13x7 but I must admit I'm happy right now. I have not had the opportunity to sail and see if I notice any significant drag issues but based on the design of the prop I expect better performance overall. I've also included a picture of what we took off as well as a picture of my new Campbell next the monster going on my father-in-law's 44' CSY.

I highly recommend this prop so far.

Glad you like your Campbell sailor. I found a used one on Ebay that I couldn't pass up. Problem is CS suggested a 12x7 and mine is a 12x5. Boats in my backyard so haven't got to test it out yet. Anyone know if these props can be repitched by a local prop shop? The blades look pretty hefty to just bang them on a pitch block.

Yes you can have them re pitched. Even west by north recommends doing that. Mine is cupped as well. Another guy in my marina got one at the same time. He's got a 2GM yanmar. Only difference was mine had more cupping than his.

I to have an oday 28 (1983) and was wondering if i might look at changing my prop. It does fine but yours looks to produce much less drag.
Looks like a michigan wheel. That is what my father in law replaced with his Campbell sailor.

I'm pleased with my sailing performance
