Calypso Marine Wind Instrament; Bluetooth?

Has anyone heard of this wind instrument that uses Bluetooth to transmit wireless to your smart phone? Sounds like a neat idea?

If you could wifi or Bluetooth it to your boat's network or multi function display that would be cool. My smartphone is difficult to read in bright daylight.

My goal is to be less tethered to the phone, not more - especially when sailing. Less is more better, if you will.

They have a few other interesting products - unfortunately they don't publish an address or phone number. With only a mention of a "Connecticut warehouse" I don't think I'll be sending any of my $$$$ to them.

If they get it perfected, a nice benefit would be that you could view the wind speed, direction, etc from your phone at the helm, in the cabin, on a dock, for us from inside the house. (boat is behind the house)

I recently purchased a B&G Vulcan 7 chartplotter/display.... it has wifi capacity... this is from the installation manual:

The Vulcan includes built-in wireless functionality that lets you use a
wireless device to remotely view (phone and tablet) and control the
system (tablet only). The system is controlled from the wireless
device by Apps downloaded from their relevant Application store.
Various 3rd party applications can also use the data stream.
