Any others who are thinking about going to the St. Petersburg Power and Sail show Dec 1-4....

I will there all four days, and am scheduled to give 5 seminars...mostly afternoons, every day except Saturday (new kid on the block, couldn't score a Sat. slot but hoping one might open up)...the rest of the time hanging out in what's called the Authors Corner. Would love put faces with some of the names here!

Won't be in Florida next week (wish I were!) but do have a quick question I've been meaning to ask - and your post reminded me to ask.
As I recall, you've been an advocate of the Raritan toilets. Do you recommend the Raritan LBA (lower base assembly) upgrade? My bowl is fine, but have a cheap pump (it's a Jabsco as I recall) and it won't draw raw water and, in general, works very poorly. Thinking that leaving the bowl and upgrading the part that does all the work makes sense? Do you concur? Is the installation relatively easy? Thanks in advance....have a great Thanksgiving!

Steve, yes. I bought a PHII at a great price, but had been thinking about that for our old WC headmate.

Absolutely! The PHCLBA is the compact version...the PHIILBA is the full size version. They both use the PHII pump which has been top rated for about 30 years. You won't believe how much better it is until the first time you use it.

I wish I could make it. I actually bought a Bayliner 175 at that same show in 2003. I had no intention of buying anything that day. Moral is don't take your pick up to a boat show, You never know what you might be bringing home.
