Sailboatowners.com is bringing me out to Seattle for the Lake Union "Boats Afloat" show in Seattle next week (Sept 15-18)...I'm scheduled to give 4 seminars--one a day Thurs-Sun...the rest of the time I'll most likely be in what they call the "authors corner" in the hospitality tent...or somewhere on a break. Show website is here: http://www.boatsafloatshow.com/ I'd love to put faces with some of your names...(Patrick, you and I could spend a whole day debating stuff! <g>)...so if you plan to come to the show, email me (I'm in all the directories) and I'll give you my cell # so we can connect if I'm not where I'm supposed be. :)

Cannot make it this year

I would like to meet you but I have to pack for my trip (on a C-17 I hope). You really should come north to the San Juans if you can spare the time after the show. Kenmore Air has flights to there from Lake Union if you cannot work out a way to sail there. Anacortes or Bellingham are fairly close for sailing.

You gonna be there, Fred?

How long can it take to throw 2 pairs of jeans, 6 tee shirts, 8 changes of underwear and a couple of sweatshirts in a bag....I think Pat's afraid I'll bite him! :)

I wanted to attend.

I was hoping to drop by the show, but I have to catch a plane to Philadelphia on the 15th. With the show starting on the 14th, I would have attended then, but the seminars start on the 15th. My wife would kill me if I missed the plane.

Peggie, I think I'm open,,,,not sure,,,but,,,

I'm thinking, maybe bring the boat, 'cause the ferries suck! Besides, my new truck is too big to park in Seattle. :)

Was just There

Hey Peg I was just in the area would have been nice to be there but trouble at home hurricane Katrina passed right over my boat and close to home. Went home to find area I lived in a mess and (around Baton Rouge) was told it got worst going east my boat is in Madisonville just north of New Orleans. Heading east going to my boat was a nightmare trees down billboards on the highway miles away from where they came down. I got to my Marina and was shocked Large Houseboats on land sailboats that was in the water now far into land. I found my boat and almost broke into tears very little damage still standing up riding a high water line almost perfect. My little 1982 Hunter 25 has little damage and looks damn good. I never knew how good a hunter sailboats could be till today. A Happy Owner Terry May

Try and Drop By

The Admiral and I will try and drop by and look you up. Always enjoy the show at Lake Union and never tire of looking at the boats. Amazing how we will look at the latest boats, bigger boats, more expensive boats - and yes, even some power boats, and keep saying we are happy with our boat. Tim Brogan April IV C350 #68 Seattle
