Does anyone know the portions of Calgon and Simple Green that goes in to the holding tank for cleaning and flushing? It's long overdue. Thanks, Bill

I agree with Big Windy

I work on Marine sewage systems for large ships and agree detergents that create foam/suds like simple green may not be the best solution for pumping waste. We use a bio product called gamazine which has a low/reduced foam discharge when pumping. Flushing with Bleach and water a few times will work too as long as you don't already use a bio product.

Calgon/Simple Green

Thanks all for your input. I went ahead and used a 1/2 cup of each then pumped out via the macerator(yes, 3 plus miles out). My holding tank had been filling up way to fast and "Practical Sailor" magazine had an article about using the combination of Calgon @ Simple Green to better flush old waste. I do use a bio and will continue to but I thought it was worth a shot. I would have answered sooner but I was out racing for Fathers Day weekend. Bill
