Gudday! My wife and I will be visiting Cabo next week (flying sadly, not sailing) and was looking for some local information. Things to do, must sees, etc. We are not very touristy but we like historical and cultural stuff. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. If anyone is living down there, maybe we can meet up for lunch or a beer.

Cabo is a party town. That and fishing is what

goes on there. The fishing is world class with lots of sport fishing charters. Very arid desert terrain on land. We went on a 7 day cruise and hit Mazatlan, Puerto Villarta, and Cabo. We liked Cabo the best of the three because it had the best beaches and lots of beach bars and restaurants all in one area but was less crowded.

Cabo is a mostly new development and tourist trap but great for fishing, not much history or culture. rent a car and head north that's where you will find all the history and culture, except its scattered out over about 1000 miles.Several cities that were settled by the french and germans hundreds of years ago, mostly for mining and fish processing.

I thought I updated this thread but I guess not. Sadly, the trip to Cabo did not happen but I did appreciate your input. My wife could't fly so, instead we went on a road trip from L.A. to San Francisco and almost Bodega Bay.
