Cabinet Latches

Newer Cabinet Latches on Hunter 49-50

My 2009 Hunter 49 has Southco Push-to-close and pull to open cabinet latches. These tend to stick making it very hard to open the cabinets. I see Hunter on their newer boats went to the Southco latch that is Turn-to-open. I have tried one and it works alot better, that being said these are all plastic. Has anyone had problems with the newer latches.

When you say it works alot better, were you able to get one installed in your boat? Or do you mean on the new boats?

On my boat, had to drill hole out to 1 1/4 from 1", had to grind down the keeper.
