Cabin Tables

Hi Folks,

Pretty cold here for the past week. Now, 15 degrees feels quite
warm!

My vega, #1066, doesn't have her cabin table any more. I'm
considering building one and asking the group if someone has a table
they could measure for me. My inital thought is that the table fits
in between the two posts that are set into the sole. If this is the
case, I just need the width and height above the floor and any other
important details. How high are the fiddle rails?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Hi Cris, Table size is 40 inches by 20 1/2 inches. I don't know the height by hard. It's easy to make a new one, I did that last month. Used 12 mm mahoganny plywood with mahoganny strips glued (w/ epoxy) on it on all 4 sides. The outer diameter of the table legs (stainless steel tubes) is 25 millimeters (I only know it in metric size). I use (here widely available) aluminum 25mm flagpole holders on the bottom of the table, the legs just fit in these. Bye, Lucas V-2122 'Hakuna Matata' Rotterdam - The Netherlands I only know the

Hi Lucas,

Is your table one piece or does it fold in the middle? And does it
tilt up to get out of the way when one has to go forward?

Sounds like a great idea all around.

Cheers,
Chris
