I have a Hunter 260. I would like to lower the cabin table so the seat around the table can be used as a bed. However the way the table is installed this is not possible. There is a ledge under the seat cushions to support the table when lowered but the configuration under the table will not allow the table to go that low. Has anyone resolved this problem? image.jpg

The oringial plan was to have the table for the 260 turn around to extend the forward berth. Since the 270 which was the fixed keel version, it could be lowered all the way down as you did not have the centerboard housing protruding up but most folks preferred the table on the 260 as is as it could be turned around for a larger berth and still maintain a large table when down. They did not care for the table lowered down as they felt it would be in the way and not that big a deal for a berth other than stepping over to get to the v berth area. It is an individual choice.

Thanks for the input. We may decide to leave the table as is. However, when the table is turned around stepping over it to get to the V berth is a pain.
