Cabin Table Stuck on 37.5

The cabin table on our 37.5 (1991) is EXTREMELY hard to move up and down and/or sideways. The compression post counter weight became jamed several years ago, but Hunter says the new boats don't have counter weights anymore because they are not needed. It appears the two Delrin sleeve bearings are bound up. I removed the table and the locking handle and soaked these bearings with silicone spray at Hunter's suggestion, but it is still very difficult to move the table, even side to side. Has anyone been down this road before? Is there a better lubricant? Bud Cook

Try McLube

Bud: If you are looking for a better lube, try McLube. It is a better lubricant than silicone but do not know if it is going to help your problem or not. We always keep a can of it aboard. We spray our sheet stoppers, mast track etc. with it. Great product because it is a dry lube. and does not attract dirt.
