Cabin sole repair/replace?

I have a 25 year old fiberglass boat that looks like the original cabin sole was plywood with a teak veneer. At some point a previous owner glued oak parquet flooring over this. Now the oak is coming off in several spots and there are also a couple places where the plywood underneath is delaminating. My general plan is to throw away the oak, then patch/repair/replace the plywood underneath as needed with some good quality marine grade plywood, then put a coat or two of penetrating epoxy on the patched up plywood. Then . . . I have a friend who imports teak furniture from Bali who is going to pick me up me some 3/4 inch solid teak t&g flooring for a very reasonable price. I want to glue it to the plywood. My questions are: What to use to glue the teak? And, I've seen some teak plank flooring in boats with what looks like caulking between the flooring strips (to allow for expansion when wet?). So, should I caulk between strips of teak, and if so with what? Any other suggestions would also be appreciated. BTW, I have to buy 70 sq. ft. of flooring and only need about 27. If there's any interest in sharing left-overs, email me: morrie10@hotmail.com Thanks, Morrie

Teak and Holly

Teak cabin soles you are referring to are not separated by caulking. Those white strips are Holly wood strips. Suppose you could use all teak but it sure looks much better with the holly strips, thus you can call it a "Teak and Holly" sole. Perhaps your friend can get you some holly strips that you could use.
