It's a long winter in Wisconsin, thought I would refinish the cabin sole this year. Not in bad shape, just needs "freshening up" to get rid of some scratches and add some luster/shine. I will take it home and will have most of the NFL season plus to work on it. Any helpful suggestions? I want to be sure this does not become an aw sh*t project. Should I use varnish or polyurethane?

Why not try Cetol on your floors

Bruce, I put 4 coats of Cetol on the floor of my Hunter 25.5 over 3 years ago and she is holding up great. I used a damp rag to clean the floors now and again, but it is basically maintenance free. I will put a refresher coat on over the winter, but am very happy with the results and the way she wears. Best of Luck! Bob

Dalys!

Bruce: I'd have to disagree with Bob regarding Cetol on the interior. As much as an advocate of Cetol as I am there is not a good reason to use it on the interior. You can get a better, longer lasting finsh out of varnish or the poly finishes and it will be less slippery. This is not counting how much better it will look. If you have the original finish on your sole, you should just clean up the worn spots with a light sanding and get a quart of the Dalys finish.
