Well here's one for you fellow Cherubini owners. Between me and 2 other PO's, my H30 has been on stands for at least 5 years.......almost 3 years since I got it. My Teak/holly sole was removed before I bought it. The 1979 version has a gelcoated fiberglass liner that the original teak/holly plywood veneer was screwed to. My question is, does yours have a slight crown running down the centerline? I am thinking not and this crown is due to it sitting on it's keel for a long time. Hopefully I will have her in the water this Fall. I installed new motor mounts, strut, shaft and shaft log. No sense of trying to align it until it "relaxes" for a few weeks.

My '77 doesn't have the teak, just the bare fiberglass sole. Doesn't have the crown, either. I think your original assessment is correct. Hopefully, after it's relaxed, it will return to it's original shape.

No crown in by center sole. But after being on the cradle over winter, we can't open the ice cooler past the companionway bulkhead. After a few weeks in the water everything relaxes and all is well.

Thanks guys. I have at least a 2 inch raised crown mostly where the keel is. I am getting a little concerned. I need to get it in the water soon. Even though I have tons of work left to do, I only need to paint under the stand pads, do some epoxy work around the shaft log, replace my strut bolts and apply some Poli-glo and it will be ready to float. All the rest can be done in the marina. I got an auction on Uship.....we'll see how that goes. So far $1550 for a 60 mile trip to Lake Norman......NOT!

Yikes! Find a flatbed trailer and rigger and my brother with tractor and CDLA will pull ya for half that.

I need a hydraulic trailer so they can pull under my stands. Pretty cool to watch actually. I had it shipped to my house for $750 but he was coming back from Florida with an empty trailer and wasn't out of his way. I have a very flexible schedule so may find another good deal...... hopefully.

Kito,
No bump in the floor originally or after 37 years, even after a month on stands, So...
Get it in the water!

No crown in mine in the water. The Bilge hatch is low point. Yow. I had no idea they'd flex like that.

No crown in or out of the water, but my H30 is never on the hard more than six months per year. I have observed that the aft end, if not properly supported, will sag a bit if the boat is stored for the winter with the mast down. The fiberglass near the keel is at least an inch thick, so a 2 inch crown is surprising, but over a three year period.....well, apparently it's possible. Get that poor boat in the water ASAP!
