Cabin sizing on the 361 3 cabin version?

Hi everyone! My husband and I are looking at the Beneteau 361. We were able to get onto a two cabin version, and loved the size of the after cabin. We're tall people (6'1'' and 5'9''), and found the V berth to be too small for the both of us to fit comfortably.

Understandably, there are fewer 2 cabin version, so we're also looking at the 3 cabin. Does anyone have any info on the size of the aft cabins in the 3 cabin version? Are they closer to the size of quarter berths?

Don’t know the dimensions; however, I have slept in aft cabins of a 393, 3 cabin version, on a few occasions. The 3 cabin model can accomodate two but it’s a tight fit; not nearly as large as a two cabin version. I would also beware of a 3 cabin version because many of those went to charter fleets.

Based on my experience on a Jeaneau 37 three (3) cabin charter the aft cabins were VERY confining and uncomfortable my 6'2" and my wife 5'9" frames together, seperately might be OK. Got to look for yourself.

Thanks for your feedback! That's what we feared. We're looking at boats a few states away (hoping to move there in the few months) so getting on them to try it out has been tough.

That's a great point about the charter fleet!

I agree with most of the postings. I have a two cabin 393, have slept on almost everything from 39' to 50', in both two and three cabin variants. The two cabin versions will be fine, but not the three cabin version unless you move up to at least a mid-40's size. I have had guests even larger than you both in my aft cabin and they were very comfortable.

A two cabin 361 should offer very comfortable cabin size for 2 large adults in each cabin as I had in my two cabin Hunter 386.
