Cabin lights

The overhead cabin light in my Hunter 280 burned out. How do you access it to replace the bulb? I tried twisting the housing to see if it unscrewed, but it did not appear to. I didn't want to pry or try pulling it straight down for fear of breaking it. Any ideas? I think they are Guest 8071-5 shallow depth recessed lights. TIA, Jim

Light Fixture Guess

Hi Jammer, I don't know if our respective fixtures are the same. I accessed the bulb and the screws holding the fixture by genly prying the lens out. As I recall, they have a couple of small ears around the edge of the lens that hold it in place. Then it just snaps back into place. Thanks Bill, but won't be at the lake this weekend. My son's getting married Saturday. Next time I'm at the lake, I'll try the "gently pry" method, and if that doesn't work, I'll look you up. Jim Mowrey s/v Talisman
