Can new wiring be pulled from the navigation station to the head and v-berth cabin? I installed new lights in the main cabin with no problem. When I installed the new light in the head I had to drill a new screw hole. After installation the cabin light breaker trips when reset. Removed the light and screws but still breaker trips. I assume the screw hit the wires, however I would have expected the wires to slip out of the way. Any ideas? Have any of you replaced the wire between the headliner and the cabin top?

I imagine your 27 is constructed roughly the same way my 25 was; If so, you should be able to connect the new wire to the old wire and pull it through. Just make sure to wrap the joint between the two wires with vinyl electrical tape to cover any hard edges, so you don't get stuck half-way through.

Before I did that, though, I think I'd ring out the wire with an ohm meter (or continuity checker) to make sure it's what has actually failed. I'd also check any other wiring that runs through that area (which is all of your mast wiring)...
