Hey everyone, question 1001...
my hunter 40.5 has had a cabin leak since I bought it a few months ago. I thought I solved it since it stayed dry for a weeks of rain without a single drop, however now I came back to the boat and...water again.
We first suspected a post that is below the traveler. I bedded not only the post to the deck, but also *inside* the post where the flathead screw goes through the traveler bar. This post I'm referring to is just to the right of the hatch, see pics.
Any ideas? It's either that post or something else, and either way I only have about 5 days to figure it out.
first picture: where the leak is coming from in the cabin roof from inside. From the aft most screw holding the led light strip.
second picture: where we thought the leak was coming from; fully bedded inside and out now and still leaking
