cabin heaters

Hi all.
In the URL below (sorry you'll have to cut and paste it) there are
some nice pics of a Vega for sale. My question is about the heater. On
the starboard side there's some sort of heater mounted on the
bulkhead. Anyone have one of these or know anything about it? It looks
to be electric maybe. In my old schooner ( www.schoonerabigail.com )
I had a wood stove somewhat similar to that which worked like a charm.
Anyone have any thoughts concerning cabin heaters in general,
particularly for the Vega? Cheers!

We have a Cole Stove solid fuel heater on Journeyman. We usually burn
charcoal briquettes, but sometimes wood chunks, and someday I might burn
coal. Works really well, keeps out the chill and dries the cabin out. It is
on the port bulkhead. We don't let it get too hot of course. Wouldn't do for
a liveaboard but we love it.Nicholas Walsh

I have the same heater in V1460, you can find it here
And... it will run you out of the boat unless your hatch is open a bit, even
set on low and well below freezing.
