I have an ODay 25 and just noticed that when I step belowdecks it sometimes flexs a little. Being my first boat I didnt know if this was normal or if something to be concerned about. It is between the bildge and the starboard settee. It is fiberglass afterall so I guess I shouldnt expect a poured concrete floor of stiffness.
Just paronoid now that I had to replace a 2x3 section of rotted core on deck.

I found out that the floor on my 1984 26 is cored like the deck. I think you only have to be worried about it if it is soft under your compression post, or bulkhead areas. If I had that problem, I would be sure I didn't have any cracks in the bilge area that might allow water to wick up into that area. Repair that if needed, then use a small 38 drill bit to make a small hole. If you get wet soft plywood stuff on your drill bit, then you know you have a wet core in the sole (cabin floor). If it comes out dry, don't worry about it. Then just fill the hole with a little bit of slightly thickened epoxy with a syringe.

BTW, in my experience, drilling a bunch of holes to let the core dry does not work (at least not in our moist climate, maybe in west texas where the humidity is zero, and the temperature is 110), and it eliminates the possiblity of being able to reuse the top skin after you replace the core. The biggest problem I ran into when i repaired my deck was because I could not reuse the top skins because I had drilled them full of holes to try to dry the core.
