C34 dinnette table won't collapse?

stu, even though i have a 30 with a dinette, you got me curious; why no oil? does that include WD40 in the joint? in the air force, whenever there was a problem the first thing was WD40, but that was long time ago.

stu, i alway respect what you have to say, but didn't read the links because they are not relevant to me or my boat, i was just curious about not using oil ans whether it was the table finish and not the joint that was the concern. in any event, i have a dinette.

stu, i also think we have a definition problem. from my knowledge catalina calls the NON collapsable option dinette, not the folding one.

When we got our 320 I couldn't get the pedestal down so hit it with the large can of Sailkote which is always kept handy. Over a year later and it still won't stay down, you can't clamp it tight enough to keep from trying to creep up all night.
I don't know the right way to get a table "unstuck" but lubrication ain't it.
