Has anyone had a problem with the fuel gauge being stuck on full? Is this an electircal problem in gauge, or is it a problem with float in tanK?...any ideas on fixing it? thanks JR Castro
I had a 2001 320, and when I received it, the fuel tank only read 1/2 full (with a full tank). I'm 90% sure they replaced the sending unit/float gauge, but since the marina did the work, I can't offer much more advice.
Had the same problem on a 2001 Catalina 28MkII and it seems the float was stuck on the vertical wall of the fuel tank. The problem was solved by loosening the four screws on the top of the tank securing the sending unit, rotating the sending unit 180 degrees, and then retightening. Haven't had a problem since then.
