C309 Bimini

We recently commissioned a new C309. The bimini is very large and does not fold against the backstay without hitting your head over the steering pedastal.Has anyone else had this problem or had luck ordering a custom bimini?

I have a stock bimni

I just bought a bimini that ran from my dodger to the aft rail.I made leather bads where the backstay runs thru the top . I glued the leather on the top and bottom of the sunbrela with m5200 when it was dry i stitched it by hand and put a brass gromet in for the backstays.I screwed the bace to the deck 3" from the rear polepit but you could bend the bimini tube and use hardwear to hook to the polepit.My cover gos around the bimini and the stays and is way over my head.How about useing two bimini braces to told the top up without the back stays ?
