The C30 has 2 water tanks. One under the v-berth and the other under the starboard settee.
The tank in the v-berth is higher than the one under the settee so I am concerned that the higher water level in the forward tank will cause water to leak out of the inspection port on top of the tank under the settee.
Thoughts.

Do you have a selector valve that so that you can only draw water from one tank at a time? If so, that should take care of the problem.

The inspection port should be water-tight anyway. There is very little pressure anyway.

It is leaking right now?
What types of tanks are they? Plastic or Aluminium? If it is aluminium, the bottom must be epoxied to prevent the galvanic corrosion.

Jane: Why is the bottom of an aluminum tank special vs. the sides? Do you mean the inside or outside or both for the tank? I've never heard that. If it's a marine grade tank aluminum designed for potable water, I've not heard that.
