C27 Rigging

I have recently bought a 1985 C27, which needs new running rigging. I have been unsuccessful in getting rigging specifications from Catalina - they just sent me the little Owner's Brochure. Garhauer tells me the deck organizer/turning blocks are their "25 Series" and are limited to 3/8 inch line. I was about to order 7/16, going more for comfort handling than needing the capacity. Can someone steer me to detailed specs for the 1985 C27, which would tell me if the sheaves up the mast are for 3/8 max or would they accomadate 7/16? Thanks, I'm sure I will have other needs for help as we move forward getting her shipshape.

Check out http://www.geocities.com/catalina+27/; this is invaluable information on the C27. You will find all rigging dimensions there, and also find out that halyards are 5/16 (and no, you can't "squeeze" 3/8 lines in without jamming). Also, you should consider changing the standing rigging.BTW: I own a 1985 C27 since one year and have - among other things - changed all rigging.Good luck,Hans
