New boat owner and recently bought 1986 model, but the previous owner lost the operations manual. Does anyone know where I could get one since I have not be able to track down a .pdf on the internet? or does someone have one that I could borrow for a little while, and I'll copy and scan it and post on this owners website. Willing to pay postage both ways. Thanks.

Never mind this request,

I think I found something similar to the original manual.

Are you that limited?

How about looking at the C25 Assoc website? http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/forum/ How about Google? ??Catalina 25 sailboat??? http://www.google.com Hey, it should not be that hard. Or are you asking for an Eric Hiscock wooden boat line drawing? Those don't exist for fiberglass sailboats. Sorry to be so harsh, but your question is NOT realistic, unless I'm missing something. I admit I may be wrong, to begin with, but would like some assistance in understanding this question. I know that this is a website for "basic" questions, and perhaps people who have been doing this website, and answering the same repeated questions that the archives on this same website CAN and DO answer, should be more relaxed, but it finally comes down to what the questioners should be able to do for themselves. I encourage "newbies" and I think we all do, but how about some of them doing a little bit of reading a book? This is not to knock you, Eric, but I'm asking a different question: When will people start to read a book and maybe look for answers themselves, before they "pop" a question. Again, Eric, NOT you, just a built-up feeling of frustration with people (NOT you) who simply can't even figure out how to use a basic library? The REASON I ask is that many of the people who used to frequent this 'site, got tired of answering the same questions. They are GONE. They are no longer answering these questions. However, the MOST important part of ALL of these correspondents, is that they LEARNED something, AND WERE WILLING TO SHARE, because they shared their own experiences. WHICH IS ALL IN THE ARCHIVES. Why not TRY, at least TRY, to do an archive search first on your subject, BEFORE you ask? I'm sorry, folks, but I've seen so many experienced contributors worn down. I also understand that there are always new people buying boats. BUT, now that there are so many sources out there, how come so few are using them? I think that this website should make the archive link the BIGGEST feature of this website. Maybe they should call it the "Click here before you ask a question."

Take a deep breath Ralph

Take a deep breath Ralph, hold it, hold it, hold it, now slowly let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go.......until it's all gone, and doesn't come back again. That kind of built up tension doesn't do anybody any good. Sheesh! And it hasn't even really started raining up here yet this year. Good Luck and Happy Sailing! Tim Brogan April IV C350 #68 Seattle

C25 Manual

Eric, Here is the link to the C25 Manuals that are located on the C25 International Association website. C25 Manuals http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/manbro/manbro.asp As a new C25 owner, I encourage you to check out the C25 International Association website. There you'll find a lot of information concerning the C25 as well as the best sailing forum on the web, which is much, much more active than this one. At that forum, I guarantee you'll never get a response that is toned like the one posted earlier here. Sailor's Forum http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/default.asp

Welcome Eric!

Disregard Ralph. Some old salts think they are so special and, in a way, I guess they are. The rest of us are happy to help. The Catalina 25 forum is a great place, I participate there. Also, go to www.catalinadirect and get their C25 parts book. It is a tremendous resource. Welcome to the Catalina and sailing world. Don't hesitate to ask anything. Also, check out the excellent search and archive functions as there is a wealth of information there. Randy
