I am trying to get information as to changes occuring in the C22's from the time they were first introduced up through the 22mkII. 1) When where the 22's first introduced? 2) When did they get the fin keel vs swing keel? 3) Has there been a change in hull shape, and when? 4) Has there been a change in displacement? 5) Has there been a change in sail area? 6) Any other pertinate changes? If anyone has the answers to these questions or could direct me to where I could find the answers I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks, Phil

To add to what Dave said, The 22 has had 3 different swing keels, the first wasnt sucha great design and many early boats have had the pivot point upgraded to the newer style, the second was cast, formed on its side so one side is somewhat flat, the third is a lead keel caped in glass with a stainless front edge.... In the fixed keels, I know of two, the newest being the capri unit which draws about five feet....I own one and I'll tell you, it points like a hound dog and run like it was on tracks... I mostly use mine off-shore and have traveled beter than a hundred miles off the north coast of California... As for the hulls....They say the MKll is the same below the water line even though its 8 inches wider, dont believe it....I own an early model and a MKll and its a different boat completly
